We all matter!

Updated: Oct 4, 2021

Faith frames a situation through the truth of the Word instead of the narrative of the world.

The Word says,

"What is the value of your soul to God? Could your worth be defined by an amout of money? God doesn't abandon or forget even the small sparrow he has made. How then could he forget or abandon you? What about the seeminly minor issues of your life? Do they matter to God? Of course they do! So you never need to worry for you are more valuable to God than anything else in this world." Luke 12:6-7 TPT

The world shouts chaos, disorder, lies, uncertainties and fear. The voices are screaming you are not worth anything and everyone is to blame. God is saying, stop listening to the wrong voices. He knows more about you than you do. You are worthy, you do matter and you are not forgotten. As long as you are listening to fear, you will be oppressed.

When fear sets in, it can keep you from responding to God's call. You can overthink or under-act or you under-think and over-act. Speaking for myself, when it comes to fear, I overthink and under-act. I internalize the fear until I become depressed and despondent. I rethink every scenario but don't act on any issue. What if's or how can I fix it are constant thoughts in my mind. There's no action, only thinking. All this does is keep me in a constant state of indecisiveness.

I finally get to the place where I'm feeling beat down. The fear is taking hold of my mind and I recognize it for what it is. I'm exhausted and all I can say is, God, I can't do this. At that moment, I feel a weight lifted. He begins showing me what's truth and what's a lie. He gives me wisdom so that I'm not overthinking and I'm giving this fear to Him.

One of those times was when one of my children was going through a difficult time. I was scared to pray a certain prayer for that child because of how the prayer may be answered. Even though I had to walk through trials in my life because of decisions I made, when it's your child, it's hard knowing you're the one praying for them, yet you're not releasing them. And it's because of fear. But God reminded me that He knew more about my child than I did, He loved my child more than I did, and by releasing my child, I was releasing the fear and replacing it with faith which brings the blessing.

Don't let fear creep in. It can be subtle. Faith blesses, but fear oppresses.

God is doing a powerful work in our lives and our families. He is building faith and conquering fear. He is healing our land, giving us rest and growing the church.

We are the church! You are the church!

"Have you forgotten that your body is now the sacred temple of the Spirit of Holiness, who lives in you? You don’t belong to yourself any longer, for the gift of God, the Holy Spirit, lives inside your sanctuary." 1 Corinthians 6:19 TPT

There’s a saying, home is where life begins and love never ends. Terri's childhood home, where her mother still lives, is filled with her mama’s love, the memories of her daddy, and Jesus. The home became her refuge at a time in life when she needed to heal...
