The Faceless ONE

It's 3:30 a.m. and I am awake. There is an urge in my spirit to pray. It's not the type of prayer I can pray lying in bed. I get up and walk in my office, close the door and get on my knees at the side of the trundle bed. But God says, no, for this, pray on your face.
As my face touches the carpet, I begin praying with authority. There is a battle going on in the spirit realm; I can feel it. I have no idea what it is, who it is, but it is serious. My mind goes to the our President and Vice President and the constant battles they fight daily for us, for our freedom. Then I begin to think of the unspeakable evils of the world and God brings the image of ONE faceless person to my mind. This person is the ONE I begin praying authority over. This ONE, at that moment, was contemplating taking his or her first step into the evil realm of pornography, child trafficking, abortion, drugs, murder, ritualistic sacrificing or some other evil and God was reaching into their heart. God was pulling them back ... fighting against the evil for their soul. He showed me the fight against the powers of darkness and that we are not only praying for the innocent, but we are praying for the hearts of those caught up in the sin. The battle can begin to be won from within those very dark hearts.
As I prayed, He gave me Ephesians 6:10-18 and I began to read it out loud and proclaimed it over the ONE ... right then! I am nothing physically when it comes to fighting the wickedness and evil, but I felt like a warrior this morning on my knees sitting in my office. We all are warriors!
It is overwhelming to read what is being exposed ... but that is what light does ... it exposes the evil. And we cannot be blind to what is happening because God tells us to stand against evil. The Word says to put on the whole armor of God ... truth, right thinking, peace, faith, salvation, speaking the Word out loud with boldness and on every occasion praying for one another.
As much as I pray for the innocent and want every single one of them safe, we also have to pray for the despicable ones and their hearts. Without a heart change, there will be no life change. I had to pray for compassion for myself this morning because I felt hate. As I was praying for the faceless person about to step into an unspeakable sin, God showed me mercy in my own life. And then He asked me to show the same mercy.
Someone reading this may be in a situation where you are being tempted beyond what you can handle and feel there is no way of escape. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, "No temptation has come upon you except what is common to humanity. But God is faithful; he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to bear it."
Jesus, in his humanity, was tempted by Satan three times and each time Jesus answered him with the Word. (Matthew 4:1-11) When the enemy comes at you, come back at him with the Word of God. Say it out loud! When we go through trials, we may not come through them unscathed or without scars, but He will enable that we will land intact on the other side, usually with a great testimony!
I declare the ONE God woke me up for this morning made the right choice in his/her heart and that because of their decision it starts a chain of positive actions that changes the course for many lives.
Whatever I endure on this earth is nothing compared to the glory of seeing Jesus face to face. For now, He wants us to make sure we share His love and goodness with as many as we can so we all share in His glory!
"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints." Ephesians 6:10-18 KJV
